My name is Steve Cross. I’ve been a software engineer and Linux administrator since I was ten years old, and an audio engineer since I was twelve. Technology, production, and problem-solving have been a huge passion of mine for as long as I can remember. For more than twenty years, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to grow those skills across software development, systems engineering, and media production.
At the end of 2023, my family and I moved to a small town in south Georgia, where we found a church we immediately felt called to be part of. Though small at the time, the church was growing quickly, and from the very beginning we had a front-row seat to see God at work—changing lives and drawing people into community.
As we became more involved, it became clear there was a real need for support on the technology side of ministry. Within weeks, I began serving as the audio engineer, and over the following months my role expanded to overseeing production, media, and technology. As the church continued to grow, so did the operational demands behind the scenes.
I found myself spending countless hours on repetitive, manual tasks—importing and organizing media, managing backups, starting multitrack recordings, and handling other technical details that, while necessary, pulled time and energy away from people and ministry. As a software engineer with a background in automation, I felt a strong responsibility to steward my skills well by building tools that could reduce that burden.
In October 2024, I wrote Media Importer (available for purchase soon), not as a product idea, but as a solution to a real ministry problem. That project sparked a deeper calling: using software as a way to serve the Church. Since then, I’ve written several custom applications to support our church’s growth, with more currently in development.
Over time, my wife and pastor began encouraging me to consider that these tools might serve more than just our local church. Their insight helped me see that what started as internal solutions could be refined and shared to support other ministries facing similar challenges.
This company exists because of that ministry work. Every application began as a tool built for our own church, to help us scale responsibly, serve with excellence, and free up volunteers and staff to focus on what truly matters. My goal now is to refine these tools so they can benefit other churches as well—making them flexible, approachable, and reliable for ministries of all sizes.
At its core, this work is an extension of service. It’s about using the gifts God has entrusted to me to support the Church, strengthen ministry teams, and quietly remove obstacles so the Gospel can remain the focus.
